My training never came from just one place. Life has taught me and continues to teach me my greatest lessons. My passion for health and fitness began when I became bored with spending most nights at clubs or bars in NYC. I needed a change. And from that moment on I’ve been working towards balancing my mind, body, and soul.
I’ve learned a lot. Some things worked. Other not-so-much. But the best lesson, I never stopped moving forward. It sucks being challenged, but it was during those times which I, and we experience the most growth.
I’ve held Fitness Training Certifications (CPT, AFAA). I studied nutrition and was certified as a Holistic Nutrition Consultant and I am currently Board Certified as a Holistic Health Practitioner from the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). And I also spent a month in India learning yoga from people who have dedicated their lives to the science and principles of the art of yoga. While there I became a Registered Yoga Teacher.
What does all that mean? Not much unless it’s properly applied. And that I crave knowledge. I am not discrediting myself or anyone else. But it’s important that it is applied and delivered in a way that connects with whomever we are teaching. That’s where the challenge lies for many people working in the field of health, fitness, and wellness.
I have had success with clients seeing results not because I hold certifications, but because I recognize the differences in all humans. What works for one person won’t always work everyone. I know that no two of us have the same mind, body, and soul. Finding and understanding these differences has allowed me to design a yoga practice that perfectly fits the individual.
I Love teaching as much as I do learning. And I would Love to help you reach your goals through the practice of yoga and meditation.
