How to Trust Our Journey Even in The Darkest Times

Life has a funny way of distracting us from living in the moment.  Things don’t always go as planned. We lose ourselves as we scramble looking for a solution.  We run in every direction hoping an answer will present itself, but we forget to stop and ask the one person who will always have the answer.  Ourselves.

When we lose control of our thoughts we risk losing control of our lives

EXPERIENCES ARE TEMPORARY

I recently wrote about an experience that challenged me this past summer.  The thing that helped me get through it was being able to trust that what was happening at that time wouldn’t last forever.  I visualized myself a few months into the future, looking back and appreciating the lesson that I was being taught at the present moment.  I believed that my present situation was only temporary. No matter how difficult it seemed I knew more than anything that it would pass.

WE ARE THE ANSWER

We always have the answer to everything that we’re dealing with.  Instead of scattering looking for an outside source to guide us in the right direction, we need to STOP and look within ourselves.  The answer is always there.  Sometimes all it takes is looking at the situation with a different perspective.

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” ~ Steve Jobs
