Hi, I’m Seth. I am grateful that you ended up here.
I knew at a young age that I was destined for more. This belief came as I saw those I loved giving up on their dreams without ever even trying. They found comfort in their excuses and accepted that their lives were limited.
Growing up, I suffered from mental and emotional abuse. My parents divorced when I was eight years old. I felt lost as I searched for happiness.
When I was 17 years old, I left home and slept on friend’s couches or floors. I looked for comfort in partying and relationships, but neither ever filled the emptiness I felt inside.
I often wondered if people knew the power that they had within them. I always believed that our minds either control us or we can control our minds.
I tried teaching this as a child; never understanding what it truly meant. And then something changed. I realized I was ignoring my own happiness.
I began taking my own advice, and I watched as my life turned around. My goals quickly became no match for my determination. I challenged myself often. I went back to college, graduated, and the University recognized me for my academic achievements. Shortly after that, I published, then unpublished a book that I wrote.
I was successful in the sense of accomplishing my goals, but I found myself constantly thinking and worrying about the next “big” project.
I realized that I wasn’t enjoying my life. I wasn’t taking the time to appreciate what I was doing because I was so focused on doing more. Essentially I was running in circles.
I believe with all my heart that we as individuals are in control of our destiny. Life has a way of distracting and fooling us into thinking that we must accept our circumstances as they are. Or that the things we are doing aren’t enough. My passion comes from watching the people I love and care about quit before ever starting.
Of any of my accomplishments in life, nothing compares when someone tells me that they are better for knowing me. It drives me every day. We do not have any limits other than the ones that we set for ourselves.
I am so grateful for every experience that I have had. In my eyes, I don’t see any of them as bad or a failure even though at the time I felt like I was suffocating. Everything in my life has been a beautiful lesson.
I have learned to find the positive in every single experience. Doing so has honestly given me the power to control my own life.
You are an amazing person. And I can say this because I believe that at the root of all humans we are good and that we all desire more. Change is simpler than it may presently feel like, but once you commit to living your life differently the only thing that can get in your way, is you.
